SEM Photograph: (Bold, 1988, pl. 3, fig. 17) Scale is 0.14 mm. Specimen HVH 10548 (NMB Locality 16125: Río Gurabo, Gurabo Formation). Left valve. Height: 0.38; length: 0.68.

Morphologic Description: An elongate species with narrow irregular fossae and broad ridges separating them.

Holotype: USNM 689080 (Locality: R 3776A, Mamural Road, Central Range, Trinidad, San Jose calcareous silt member of the Manzanilla Formation, Upper Miocene).

Distribution:

• Upper Miocene to Pliocene: Greater Antilles, Trinidad, Costa Rica.
