Morphologic Description: Carapace small, elongate, thick-shelled, more compressed than Hemicythere, anterior end rounded, with thickened rim, posterior attenuated and posteroventral corner produced; surface with one or more longitudinal ribs and commonly a transverse rib extending downward from posterocardinal angle.
