Guests were invited to "walk the plank" (go downstairs) and join in activities provided by the Department of Geoscience, Paleontology Repository, SGE, and the Iowa Geological and Water Survey. Two hundred and forty-four people visited during the evening. Well done everyone! |

Visitors discovered a range of objects including a model of a sabre-tooth cat skull, an eclogite, a 1.4 billion-year-old piece of rock, and lots of fossils, some of which they were able to find themselves and take home, thanks to a donation by the Mid America Paleontology Society. | |
