SEM Photograph: (Borne and Cronin, ms, pl. 1, fig. 9) Scale is 0.08 mm. (Locality CJ89-20-11: Río Banano, Limón Province, Costa Rica; Río Banano Formation). Left valve, female.

Morphologic Description: A species with subdued anterior cardinal angle, convex dorsal margin, dorsal ridge parallel to and below the posterodorsal margin; fossae of about equal size throughout. Carapace ovate to subquadrangular.

Holotype: HVH 9102 [(left valve) (Bold, 1975b, pl.1, fig. 11)] (Locality Rutsch 124, Savaneta River near Gran Couva, Trinidad, Savaneta glauconitic clay member of the Springvale Formation, Lower Pliocene).

Distribution:

• Upper Miocene to Lower Pliocene: Hispañiola, Trinidad, Venezuela, Costa Rica (Bold, 1988).
