SEM Photograph: (Borne and Cronin, ms, pl. 3, fig. 4) Scale is 0.05 mm. (Locality CJ89-35-01: Santa Eduviges subdivision, Limón Province, Costa Rica; Moin Formation). Left valve, female.

Morphologic Description: Subquadrate carapace in ventral view. Anterior margin broadly rounded; dorsal margin straight, slightly inclined posteroventrally; posterior margin with short, blunt, upturned projection. Surface reticulate.

Holotype: HVH 9000 (Station 315, in 3m of water near Tobacco entrance, Belize. Recent).

Distribution:

• Pliocene to Recent: This species is restricted to Thalassia-free areas of the carbonate platform of Belize (Teeter, 1975).
