SEM Photograph: (Bold, 1988, pl. 1, fig. 2) Scale is 0.15 mm. Specimen HVH 10481 (NMB Locality 16137). Right valve. Height: 0.47 mm; length: 0.65 mm.

Morphologic Description: A species with almost triangular outline, highest submedially with subequal slopes anteriorly and posteriorly.

Holotype: NMCM H-20-06 (Locality: Varadero Well #1: 60m, Matanzas, Cuba, Mio-Pliocene).

Distribution:

• Upper Miocene to Recent: Greater Antillles, Costa Rica.
