SEM Photograph: (Bold, 1988, pl. 8, fig. 18) Scale is 0.05 mm. Specimen HVH 10624 (NMB Locality 16978: Río Cana, Gurabo Formation). Right valve. Height: 0.19 mm; length: 0.29 mm.

Morphologic Description: A species with very coarse reticulum, showing three wide fossae above a prominent median ridge and four to six ventral fossae below it; vertically-elongate reticulum in posterior part.

Holotype: HVH 4739 (Locality: Shore Sand, Bahia Honda, Florida, Recent).

Distribution:

• Upper Miocene to Recent: Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico.
