I. Subgenus Strombina s.s.
Morphologic Description: protoconch 1 1/4 to 3 volutions; outer
lip protoconch sigmoid or sinusigerous; sculpture on early teleoconch absent;
sculpture on late teleoconch absent or present; axial sculpture predominant;
parietal ridge absent; posterior canal absent or weak; thickness outer
lip strong; outer lip weakly extended adapically; anterior canal recurved;
dorsal hump absent to prominent; hump to the left of aperture absent to
prominent.
