Morphologic Description: branched phaceloid or plocoid, parathecate, small regular septal dentition.

Morphologic Diagnosis: Colony Form: plocoid or phaceloid, Colony Shape: massive or branching, Budding: intramural, Columella: trabecular and discontinuous, Corallite Size: large (10 - 20mm), Wall Structure: parathecal, Lobes: none.

Species (3 total):

• M. braziliensis (Verrill, 1868); CC species #159 (extant).
• M. hartti (Verrill, 1868); CC species #160 (extant).
• M. hispida (Verrill, 1901); CC species #161 (extant).
